Our immediate aim is to relieve your symptoms and hopefully get you out of pain as quickly as possible. It is worthwhile to mention that the pain you feel is often the last symptom you get when something is wrong. Being pain-free may therefore not mean that all is well. There is an alarmingly high recurrence rate for back pain and in many cases this is due to your back working well enough so that you have no pain, but still not being able to adapt to any further abnormal stresses. When a further stress then occurs, your symptoms return. Full healing often takes a little time and patience, but the results are usually worth the wait.
Our therapists will aim to get your back working to its full potential and this is the best way to prevent recurrence. This will often mean that you have a short course of treatment to deal with your acute pain, followed by a course to enhance spinal performance and maintain this progress; maintenance treatment. To achieve optimum results we do ask that you work with us by attending the recommended appointments, following the advice given and doing the exercises prescribed to you. Our team are dedicated to helping you back to health and back to a happy work and life style.
