Helen graduated from the college of Osteopaths in 1998 and has a very holistic and patient centred approach to diagnosis and treatment. She will often combine her many skills together to offer a complete care package tailored to your specific needs. Since graduation from the College of Osteopaths in 1998 Helen has pursued her education in several main areas of interest; sports medicine, nutrition, women’s health, cranial and visceral osteopathy, dry needling and orthotics.
It has been a natural evolution from participation in sports such as football, hockey, rugby and netball to her current specialisation; supporting “master” athletes and older sports men & women in a wide variety of sports and pursuits. Helen has been “the physio” for the England (men’s masters) hockey team for several years, accompanying them at various international events in Malaysia, Australia and Ireland.
Helen has also nurtured an interest in women’s health and developed skills in the use of more gentle techniques such as cranial osteopathy and visceral osteopathy.
Another special interest is in the use of diet and nutrition, especially in regard to healing and recovery from injury and in helping people re-balance their body systems when “out of kilter”.
She is a member of the International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK). AK uses muscle testing to assist in diagnosis, and integrates a range of natural treatments such as osteopathy, homeopathy and nutrition to treat holistically.
